Winter Conservation Volunteer Working Parties 2018/19
Please come and join us for 3 hours on a Sunday morning and assist in vital conservation work. For the rest of this season we will be meeting at Anthonys on Horsell Common. The working parties run from 10.00 to 13.00 on the following dates:

Anthonys is on the left of Chertsey Road A320 between the Six Crossroads roundabout and the McLaren/Martyrs Lane roundabout. Choose the second entrance and drive through Anthonys to the gate and on to the main common track. The actual work area is a short walk from here.

The activity is to remove scrub, mainly small birch and pine saplings from areas of heathland. Loppers and bow saws will be provided; volunteers should wear sturdy footwear with good grip and a good pair of gardening gloves or similar. Do wear plenty of layers. Contact them if the weather is particularly bad (rain, high winds or snow) before 09:30 on the day to check whether the event will take place.
