Come and learn more directly from one of the judges for North America, Kimberlie Cerrone and from Laura Chicurel, winner for Europe in 2008.
Kimberlie L. Cerrone has extensive operations, management, strategic planning, deal-making and international business and legal experience,including over twenty-five years experience in structuring and executing many types of strategic alliances, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions and partner, licensing, customer and vendor relationships for life science and high technology companies. She is expert in developing and executing intellectual property protection strategies and in acquiring, managing and exploiting valuable intellectual property, and technology and product rights.
Kimberlie has significant startup, industry and major law firm experience. In 1987, she co-founded Neurobiological Technologies, Inc. She has served as a C-level executive at nine venture capital-backed companies; two of which she saw from the initial startup phase through IPOs.
Kimberlie is currently the co-founder and CEO of Tiatros Inc., a digital health company headquartered at the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center. Tiatros moves all of the clinic-to-clinic processes that doctors rely upon to coordinate patient care to a private, secure mobile cloud, where everyone involved has timely, reliable access to all of the information and people they need - smoothing out clinical workflows and adding a rich social layer to dramatically improve healthcare efficiency.
Kimberlie graduated from the University of Illinois. She earned a Master of Science degree in biochemical pharmacology from NYU. She has an MBA from University of San Francisco. She graduated from the Hastings College of the Law. She is a licensed California and patent attorney. She lives in San Francisco, CA.
