Wicked (Part 1)

We have an event posted for Wicked–For the good (part 2) on Saturday, Dec 6. Tickets for that event are not on sale yet, but it is estimated to start between 12:00 PM to 2:00 pm and is posted on Meetup. This event is to stream the first part at my home. Please direct message me (or Caty) for the address. Let’s plan on appetizers. Please bring one if you are so inclined. I will be watching for signups that need to be gluten-free or meat free and will post if we should be more careful at this event.

The movie Wicked is a prequel to The Wizard of Oz that tells the origin story of the Wicked Witch of the West, Elphaba, and Glinda the Good Witch. It follows the unlikely friendship between two students at Shiz University, the misunderstood green-skinned Elphaba and the popular Galinda, and how their choices lead to their famous destinies. After a fateful encounter with the Wizard, their bond is tested as they navigate the political and magical undercurrents of Oz.

Please note… Wicked Part 1 is a long movie (more than 3 hours long), but totally worth it. Part 1 came out in 2024, so this is just to refresh our memories. This is BYOB.

Significant others and children are welcome. Just add a number to the count. Witch attire is welcome!

Anyone who knows my home knows there is a trek up from the street and limited parking at the top. If you have ambulatory issues, please speak up to get a spot at the top of the driveway!

This event is social, and attendees are encouraged to make friendships, bond, have conversations, and have fun. It should go without saying that attempting to sell, market, or promote a business is unacceptable. If anyone tries to do so, they will be asked to desist. If they continue, they will be told to leave.
