Whether you are a brand new rider or have some experience on trails, making sure you understand the fundamentals of mountain biking is the best way to gain confidence, continually improve, and have more fun on the trails!
Amy, a former pro racer for Kona, MTB instructor and personal trainer has been teaching for over 20 years, helping new riders improve skill, strength, safety and FUN factor on the trails.
We begin by making sure that your bike is set up correctly for you. Saddle height and tire pressure are two things that can make all the difference right from the start. Then you'll hit the dirt and begin to learn the basic skills and the fundamentals of mountain biking that are necessary for a great ride every time.
We will work on skills such as position changes, moving the bike underneath you, balance, mounting and dismounting, braking, cornering, climbing and descending.
PLEASE NOTE: These clinics are are posted and advertised in several different locations. The RSVP list does not indicates the total number of sign-ups. Since there is a limit of 7 riders per class, please sign-up soon to be sure you get a spot. You will be notified if you are on the waiting list.
COST: 3 hour class/AZMB Paid Members $65.00 / $75.00 non-members
- Your own bike or rental
- 70oz of water (bottes or hydration pack)
- Mountain bike shoes or sturdy shoes such a light trail shoes
- Comfortable but not baggy bike or workout clothing
- Bike gloves
- Padded shorts
- Tool bag / tire tube
