Hike Whiteface -via Dicey Mill Trail Sunday June 8

Whiteface-  Dicey Mill Trail Hike- Sunday, June 8

GPS - Ferncroft Road, Tamworth, NH

We will be hiking Mt. Whiteface, which is located in the Sandwich Range in New Hampshire. We will be taking the Dicey Mill Trail. The trail we were originally planning to take (Down brook) crosses water ten times in one direction, so we have changed the starting point The trailhead is located at Ferncroft Road.

This trip is six miles one-way. We would recommend extra clothes, socks, walking stick, and safety gear.

The trip time in the AMC White Mountain Guide is 4 hours and 20 minutes. As always, if the weather gets really bad, we will cancel the trip all together.

Are we going to carpool from the UU Church? Or can we if that's not already the plan?

This event is in so much flux that I can see difficulty for people to commit to it. I'm also wanting to do something else on Saturday. Since the weather for Sunday is looking good now, can we just set this for Sunday and stick with that rain or shine? I think we might have a couple people interested in going that aren't currently on the list. I've hiked up Washington through a waterfall in the rain, so I'm guessing even if it does get worse than it looks it won't be so bad. :) I'd like these hikes to grow, and become a regular part of the group, since it's a great chance to get out and experience our world. Also just an FYI my sister dropped out, she has been dealing with some health issues and wanted to get out and clear her mind, but thinks she isn't really up to any serious physical activity.
