Many of us have played digital games in one form or another from Candy Crush to Minecraft, they all have in common the ability to quickly engage the player. For games it is imperative that the user interface is easy to learn so that players can immerse themselves in the game, with compelling gameplay to encourage the player to come back for more.

So can we learn from this and build some of these principles into our business-to-consumer and business-to-business web applications?

Josh Hart, CTO at yulife(https://www.yulife.com/) will be exploring these ideas with us and tell us how he has used gaming UX design to increase product sales and build a compelling product offering at yulife. He will also be taking us on a journey comparing different approaches to product design, and ideas which have helped him in the past.

Josh Hart is a serial entrepreneur, and has set up numerous businesses across EdTech, Mobile and now the InsureTech world. Having created digital experiences used by millions, Josh’s mission is to make all digital interaction fun.

As co-founder & CTO of yulife, Josh has been re-imagining the world of insurance, building a company which focuses on helping people to be their best selves; mentally, physically and financially.

Prior to yulife, Josh was a co-founder of Chelsea Apps Factory and key in the development of the organisation, which consulted FTSE 250 companies and grew to well over 100 people, servicing customers such as Google, Standard Life and Waitrose.

3. Clinic: Bring along a problem, and the audience will offer advice. If we can't, maybe we'll have a solution by next meeting.

Aiming to finish the formal part by about 21:00, depending on everyone's enthusiasm to chat & discuss.
