The European Accessibility Act went into effect in June 2025 – and like GDPR, it reaches well beyond the EU’s borders. Many US businesses fall under its scope, and the obligations extend far beyond technical website fixes. The EAA requires ongoing accessibility testing, clear internal processes for handling complaints, public accessibility statements, and in some cases, direct reporting to national authorities.

This session will break down who needs to comply, which standards apply today and what’s coming next, plus what early enforcement looks like. While formal cases are still developing, we’re already seeing individual complaints, advocacy-group actions, proactive audits by oversight bodies, and evolving national guidance.

If your organization serves EU customers — or wants to stay ahead of where US accessibility law may be headed — you’ll leave with a clear understanding of what compliance requires and how to prepare.
