How to Build a WordPress Plugin [Dev]

Plugins are the recommended way to extend or modify the functionality of WordPress and they're not actually all that difficult to build.

In this talk Peter Cook will demonstrate how to build a basic plugin consisting of just a few lines of code. He'll then show how a plugin that embeds a bar chart in a post can be made and he'll cover concepts such as shortcodes and JavaScript along the way.
