Chicago Suburb Hackerspace: Workshop 88 Message Board › Our paid class offerings

Our paid class offerings

A former member
Post #: 2
We currently offer paid classes at Workshop 88 to not only help support the space, but to help educate our members and the community around us.

All of our classes can be found at

We're currently keeping paid events off of meetup to avoid spam and confusion. When we post a new class we'll try to let the meetup group know about it in the least spammy fashion available.

Hey all,

We've posted most of the classes that we're going to be offering this summer to the website. All of the classes are have registration fees, but if you are a full member, the fee is waived. If you're a full member that would like to take some (or all) of the classes you can get discount codes for all of the classes so that you can register without paying anything.

What would be really cool, though is if you could help us spread the word about the classes! We'd love to see lots of new faces at the space taking these classes, but we need help to get the word out about them.

If you have any questions about the classes or any suggestions for classes that we should offer feel free to post suggestions.

Hey everyone,

I wanted to let you all know that we have a bunch of classes and workshops coming up at the space this summer. Please check these opportunities out and help us spread the word about what we're doing.

Here is what is already scheduled:

Introduction to Arduino class (May 30)

Learn to solder class (June 12)

Lockpicking workshop (June 13) - FREE!

Introduction to EAGLE (June 19)

Also, don't forget that we are looking to do the Cardboard Regatta in Glen Ellyn, MuseCon in Itasca and the MiniMakerFaire in Evanston this summer

As always, classes are FREE for full members. We will be scheduling more classes very soon, including more arduino classes, basic electronics classes, and introduction to python. Plus, there are NEW classes being developed, including a class on using the Tiny85 microcontroller. We want your input on what you would like to see at the space. What else can we offer you?

Let us know!
