Tim will be discussing, steps you can take to improve security of your WordPress site, what threats there are to your site and how to deal if the worst happens.

Tim Nash is the WordPress Platform lead and developer advocate for 34SP.com (http://34sp.com/)a Manchester based hosting company. Through his work at 34SP.com (http://34sp.com/)he helps to improve the security and performance of thousands of WordPress sites. He is also a blogger, writer and occasional conference speaker.

Several members of the group have seen Tim speak at WordCamps throughout the country, you can see some of his past talks here: http://wordpress.tv/speakers/tim-nash/

As Tim is coming all the way from 'up North I hope we can all give him a warm welcome and a good turn out.

The rough plan is between 6:30pm and 7:00pm people arrive at the pub and catch up (or introduce yourself if you are new) and get a drink then Tim will talk from 7 for around 30 minutes. This will be followed by the chance to ask him questions on the talk and about anything else WordPress related.

Then as usual we will all head down to the bar and have another drink and everyone can chat to one another :)

If you would like any information about getting to the venue, parking etc... then drop us a message on here, or via our Twitter or Facebook.
