This month we have a special event with Gill Cleeren that is being hosted by Telerik (http://www.telerik.com/).
Windows Phone 8 apps and the outside world: working with data in a WP8 app
Windows Phone 8 apps are not islands of self-contained information. For many scenarios, they need to connect to services to get up-to-date, relevant information. But what are the options we have in Windows Phone 8? Has this evolved from Windows Phone 7? In this session, we'll look at which services we can connect with, including REST, sockets, oData and much more. We'll also explore the ways we can use that data once it's in the application using data binding.
After this talk, you'll be confident in using all kinds of services in your application.
