What are you currently working on?

The sequel to UFO INVESTIGATOR, to be entitled THE COLOR OF ELECTRUM. Also a novel called THE MENDING, about a woman psychiatrist in the year 2000, one of whose patients begins to recover memories and dream fragments of a 17th-century Messiah.

Have you ever been commerically or self-published?

I've published five academic books on Jewish mysticism and messianism. My debut novel, JOURNAL OF A UFO INVESTIGATOR, is scheduled to be out from Viking Press in February 2011.

What type of writing are you most interested in?

Do you have a website you would like to share with the group?

For many years I was a religious studies professor. But there's things I wanted to say about faith and illusion, and the loss of them, that academic writing can't convey. That's why I turned to writing fiction.
