Hello and welcome to Hooping With Pleasure where my mission is to make fitness fun! This is a Group Exercise class using adult sized hula hoops. You will learn to hoop on your body, move across the floor while you are hooping, take the hoop off your body and up over your head, challenge yourself by hooping on angles and over time, to hoop on your waist, hips, shoulders and thighs. We'll also work on separating our upper and lower body, allowing them to move independently of each other. Then, there's hooping off your body, using your hands, elbows, forearms, knees, feet, the list goes on and on. We'll activate both sides of your body by crossing your midline, to connect and stimulate your neural pathways. All of this is done to music and will leave you with a smile on your face.

If you've hooped as a child and not since then or never hooped at all, it doesn't matter EVERYONE can hoop! It just takes good equipment and a good teacher. I provide both. Come on over and let me show you how much fun hooping can be. And a thought to ponder, when was the last time you trained your abdominals for over an hour and never laid down on the floor? Hmmmmm.

And while I call this a class, it's more like a hooping workshop. We start at 8 am and usually wrap up between 10:00 and 10:30 am. I've found that a 60 minute class just isn't enough time for folks to find their flow and with longer sessions, you can work at a slower pace and really give folks a chance to slow things down, break apart the moves and learn each nuance at your own pace. Each time you leave, you will remember what you've learned so you can practice during the week. Plus it gives us time to socialize as well!
