[COLLATERAL] An Evening with Rod Johnson: Spring Framework 2.5

From: Marco N.
Sent on: Thursday, September 11, 2008 11:21 PM

I know that some of you, like myself, develop semantic technology
solutions for clients. Therefore I will sometimes post events here
that I personally find relevant or useful for building solutions but
that might not directly relate to knowledge management, semantic
technologies, computational linguistics or the Semantic Web etc. I
will label them as [COLLATERAL] . This is one of them, the NYJavaSIG
and Frank Greco invite you to:

An Evening with Rod Johnson

Spring Framework 2.5 and SpringSource DM Server

Google Engineering Offices
76 Ninth Avenue (between 15th/16th St), 4th Floor
New York, NY 10011

An Evening with Rod Johnson
Rod Johnson will discuss important new features in Spring Framework
2.5. In particular, annotation based injection and how these features
change best practice. He will also discuss the roadmap for Spring

Rod will also introduce the new SpringSource dm Server, formerly
called the SpringSource Application Platform. This is the next
generation application server built on dynamically modular
underpinnings offering a low footprint and the flexible, extensible
runtime that is ideal for running Spring applications. Rod will show
how dm Server can simplify the deployment of web applications and how
it enables modularization of applications for advanced users.

He will also discuss the roadmap beyond version 1.0 including server
personalities for Spring Batch and Spring Integration.

6:00-6:15pm Open NYJavaSIG Q&A and Administrivia

6:15-7:45pm Rod Johnson and Spring Framework 2.5 and DM Server
