Lets enjoy the sunrise in Old Rag Mountain.

This will be a demanding hike because of the time frame so please consider your physical strength.

The Old Rag Mountain hike in the Shenandoah National Park is one of the most popular hikes in the mid-Atlantic region.
With many spectacular panoramic views, and one of the most challenging rock scrambles in the park, this circuit hike is a favorite of many hikers. it's the only hike we give a 5 star rating to for views. Many hikers also prefer to do this loop counterclockwise, thereby tackling the rock scramble on the Ridge Trail on the downhill. Either way, the rock scramble can be challenging, being both steep, and requiring climbing through cracks in the rock. The best bet to enjoy this great hike is hit summit at 5:00 AM to see and enjoy the Sun rise and to make even more interested we will be back the same way we did come up scramble included, yeap, that's right we won't take the grandma trail (fire road) to came back. Extra hike information:

Star time: 2:30 am.
If you are not there 10 minutes early, then you already will be late.
Pace: Moderate
No time to small the flowers that we won't be able to see anyway.
Gear required: Head lamp, Gloves/wool cap/extra layers, we don't want you frozen your rear on the summit.
I'll bring my camping stove to make some tea/coffee to help warm us all.
