A peer-to-peer support group for millennials (born in the 80s or 90s and now 21-36) in Ottawa coping with illness, disability or other life challenge with regular monthly meetings in a central, accessible and friendly environment. In addition to Lyme disease, these may include anxiety, depression, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, chronic pain, cancers, inflammatory bowel disease, headaches including migraines, allergies and multiple chemical sensitivities, and physical disabilities.
Dealing with an illness or disability as a 20-something or 30-something can make for a very different life than the average person our age. It can be isolating in both a physical and emotional sense which can compromise our ability to cope. This meetup group offers a forum for us to meet new friends, share our journeys, our struggles and achievements and have some fun along the way.
