Tell us about yourself. Where are you from? How did you hear about YBB? Feel free to include links to your Twitter, Facebook, blog, etc. to help us learn about you!

I'm an Oakland native who is a Construction Manager at a concrete company. I currently live in San Leandro. I heard about YBB through East Bay Black Professionals. Another meet-up that has reintroduced me to Oakland. Since I am from here I turned away from the east bay because of the way things used to be. It has taken folks from out of town to show me another side of Oakland and I am still getting used to it. You all look as if you have a lot of fun so I would like to join in the fun too.

In general, what kinds of activities do you like? What, if any, are your favorite local venues?

In general I like trying new things. I will try anything once. Especially if it's completely out of character. Until this year I was used to really only going out in SF, happy hour, museums and such. it's what I know. But lately I have been venturing into Oakland more. I haven't found a favorite spot but I used to frequent Era's open mic night when I could. However, my current job has me working like crazy so anytime I can let loose on the weekend I am down for. Hook me up YBB.

Why did you join YBB?

To meet more black bay area cause I work with none and most of my current friends don't look like me either..

For fun: If you were to write a book what would it be about?

It would be a coming of age story about 3 or 4 black women and their journey through life's every plentiful obstacles.

Hello, I'm a single Thirty-something professional looking for other black folks to have fun with. My current crop of friends are becoming a bit boring and I still want to have fun. I can sleep when I'm dead.
