Tell us about yourself. Where are you from? How did you hear about YBB? Feel free to include links to your Twitter, Facebook, blog, etc. to help us learn about you!

I am originally from Fresno CA, but I have lived in the bay area for 5 years now, I have lived in Oakland for three years and I love this city! Facebook: Twitter: @iRockRoyalty Twitter: @ theRAWExtension

In general, what kinds of activities do you like? What, if any, are your favorite local venues?

I love training and participating in competitive sporting events. I love art and frequent local galleries in the East Bay and SF area. I also like trying new restaurants, my current fav is Ozumo. In my spare time I like to up-cycle and sell vintage pieces, and work on new business ventures as I am a true entrepreneur at heart, so the wheels are always turning.

Why did you join YBB?

I have an interest in meeting and exchanging ideas with other African Americans who know the city and appreciate the culture and all that it has to offer. I am currently developing a small line of organic, artisan style handmade body goods ranging from deodorant to lotion, lip balms and soap.

For fun: If you were to write a book what would it be about?

Expanding and implementing mindfulness practices in the African American community and among youth of all ethnicities. Empowering women of color!

I am 29 years old, I am self employed in the healthcare industry. I am very passionate about politics, business, education and I love art. I am looking to meet and connect with new like minded African Americans within the East Bay area.
