New Meetup: Multi-Meetup Mixer at German Park

Announcing a new Meetup for Ann Arbor Young Professionals!

What: Multi-Meetup Mixer at German Park

When: Saturday, June 26,[masked]:30 PM

German Park Recreation Club
5549 Pontiac Trail
Ann Arbor, MI 48105

Andrew from the Ann Arbor Adventure Club Meetup has again suggested a multi-meetup gathering at German Park. It's a true Ann Arbor tradition: a big beergarden where you sit at long picnic tables, drink buckets of German beer, and eat German food. (They also have wine and water, in case you're not a beer drinker.) There's also an oompahpah band playing, with accompanying dancers in dirndls and lederhosen, but they're easy to ignore (unless you really want to do the chicken dance with a cute H?nsel or Gretel). It was a blast last year, so come join us and meet people from other A2 meetups!

Admission is $5; BRING CASH AND YOUR ID. If you get in line after 3:30, BE AWARE THERE MAY BE A VERY LONG WAIT. Outside food and drink are not allowed. Once you're inside, look for the red and white and black meetup signs.

Here's the description from the AA News:

German Park Picnic

What: Huge family-friendly picnic with German food and libations, live music and dance performances.

Where: German Park Recreation Club, 5549 Pontiac Trail.

When: [Last Saturday of each summer month], from 4-11 p.m. No admittance after 9 p.m.

How much: $5 at the gate; free for ages 12 and younger; anyone younger than 21 must be accompanied by a parent. There's no plastic and no ATM, so make a stop before you get there.

Who's hanging: Families with kids and grannies in tow, young-ish groups getting together over buckets of beer, people of German descent seeking a little home cooking, anyone looking for a fun, friendly and filling summer evening.
