So here's the deal, for 10 years I've taken friends on a week long adventure trip to Puerto Rico. It's so popular that some folks have done it more than once. Now that the island is back from Hurricane Maria's damage, it's time to go back and explore it.
This is just a general info post to see who's interested.
RSVP is only to know who's interested, it doesn't guarantee a spot.
The group will only be 5-8 people, because it's the magic number, and we will explore every corner of the island. We will do things that even locals don't know about. A final group will be created in a few months.
This trip is adventure heavy so you will need to be in decent cardio health and be the type of person that will go with the flow, get up & go, can hang in a group, accept others as they are, try new things, and just be able to absorb the island vibe & chill attitude. This year we will incorporate mountain biking into the schedule, so you need to travel with your bike or rent a local one there.
If your idea of an adventure is to sit a week on a pool sipping a syrup drink inside an all inclusive resort, this trip is not for you.
Cost per person is gonna be around $1,000. Flights are around $[masked] round trip. Usually I offer two trip lengths so you can adjust to your work schedule. Some people go for 10 days, while others can only do 7 days. Price comes out around $100 per day, which is crazy low for a very expensive tourist spot.
You get airport transfers, group stay at condo on the beach in Condado area, meals for you to cook in full kitchen, transportation around the island, adventure fees, an amazingly cool tour guide, ferry tickets, stay at Vieques guesthouse....A lot of stuff.
-River Caving adventure
-Bioluminescent bay kayaking
-Old San Juan history walking tour
-Beach, beach, beach...
-Roasted pork highway but always sensitive to vegetarians
-Rainforest hike and waterfalls

So RSVP if interested and soon we will start discussing details, next steps and making a group. RSVP doesn't guarantee a spot on the trip since every year I gotta create a good group vibe, gender mix & similar interests in order to have a group of folks that will blend for a week.
From my experience, if in your heart you are still a nature loving, adventure seeking hippie with good hygiene, you the kind of traveler who makes this trip great.
