Does anyone know of someone who specializes in rehabilitating dachshunds? I am in search of a new home for my aunt's 7 yr old dachshund, Oscar.

She rehomed him a few years ago not knowing it was a fight ring and he would be used as bait. He was abused there. She got him back but is now moving into an assisted living place and cannot keep him.

He's either a larger doxie or a mix, but regardless, needs help or he'll be put down. He is, according to some trainers I've talked to, labeled as a 'fear biter'. He has bitten 3 times since returning from the abusive situation. She must find him a home who will keep him permanently or she'll  be forced to put him down.

He is in AL but transport is available. If you can help or know of someone, please contact me. I may not be supposed to send items like this to this group, so I apologize. I am desperate.
