RE: [dnd-478] D&D 5th Edition

Ian, exactly my thoughts..  I think then it’s a matter of going with the majority of availability.  So it’s a democratic scheduling, fair to most, but we can’t accommodate all..  just not possible (myself included).   Poll might propose the following common slots (just ideas for discussion purposes, to make designing the poll easier).

Mn         7-10

Tu           7-10

Wd         7-10

Th           7-10

Fr            7-11   (typically most booked/crowded night)

Sa           1-5

Sa           7-11

Su           1-5

Su           7-11

Regards,

-eric

Ok thanks!  I checked it out, and don't have the option to create a poll, so maybe Joe wouldn't mind setting one up for us?

I guess it should list each day, and maybe times (eg Saturday afternoons, Wednesday evenings etc), ideally allowing folks to select multiple answers.

This could be very useful in trying to schedule something... one of the biggest challenges I've experienced is getting every player onto the same schedule.

Kind regards,

Ian

Ian - just sent you a PM on setting up a poll.   Might as well share with the whole group for future reference:

I added an entry to the Meetup calendar, provisionally set Wednesdays running from 6.30 to 11 at All-in-One.

Does Meetup have options for polling people's availability/schedules?  That would be a useful feature to have, make it easier to coordinate something new.

Kind regards,

Ian

Someone with privileges should set up an event on the calendar. In a few weeks I'll have Tuesday's available again, otherwise Monday/Wednesday might work if it were at All In One or the Mighty Titans (if they have tables/are even still in business).

Is there a way or resource to setup a poll for typical slots?  Might be easy that way to see when most folks are available for that area.

Ok cool!

So why don't we set up a Denville group, what day/time is good for people?

I can do any day M-F from around 6pm, (except Thursdays and some Mondays), or any time over the weekends.

Kind regards,

Ian

Hi Michael,

Can you advise when the store location could be available (i.e. days/times)?  Do you have an online calendar or something?  How many groups could run concurrently?

Of course, Brian! We're still putting together the specifics, but once we get something set up, everyone would be able to participate.

I’m up for joining a run..   Since I’m not a close follower of boards and the like, it’s easy in keeping an open mind by ignoring all arguments for or against the newest edition.  I’m curious about the new version and how it’s been shaping up thus far - Count me in.

There's been a lot of buzz around the ludosphere concerning D&DNext, or 5th edition, or whatever one prefers to call it.

Would anyone in here in GSG like to see a playtest game get set up? Would anyone be willing to run such a thing?

Our group did a several-session game of the first iteration of the playtest rules, and I had enough fun with it that I'd welcome the chance to see how they're progressed with the rules. Anyone else up for it?
