Hi Everyone in the group

 

I am not sure how I got on the circulation – mystery of technology but I see it as a positive if people are sincere in their communications to the group.

 

For my part, I am a director of the company with responsibility for risk management training and consultancy. I am in Hong Kong to research the situation with risk management here. So far I have not found an active group. This is a mixed blessing for me because I have been tasked by an international risk management institute from the UK to set up a branch in Hong Kong.

 

The aim of setting up a branch is to make Hong Kong a centre of excellence for risk management in the region. This involves:

 

·         Keeping members up to date on legislation relating to risk management issues and where possible to contribute to and be involved with legislative development

·         Establishing risk management as a respected business discipline

·         Promoting best practice in risk management in the region and to actively contribute to embedding risk management in operational processes

·         Sharing and gathering information, experience and expertise with other members and organisations within the region

·         Raising risk awareness throughout the region

·         Assisting and supporting members in their professional development

·         Providing a contact network for members throughout the region

·         Providing a forum for discussion and developing initiatives that will improve the status of risk management within organisations

 

So if there is anyone in the group involved with risk management in their organisation and is genuinely interested in joining a group like this, please contact me. I won’t be offended if there is no-one interested but please don’t waste my time.
