Science thought of the day - 23 Sept 2013

Hello members,

I just thought I would share this science thought of the day, via "From Quarks to Quasars" (at http://www.fromquarkstoquasars.com/ ):

"He who can no longer pause to wonder, and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead." - Albert Einstein.  Click the picture to see the full size image.

Also: Happy Equinox! Today is officially the first day of fall for the Northern Hemisphere and the first day of spring for the Southern Hemisphere, and you know what that means. Often called the Autumnal Equinox by folks in the Northern Hemisphere, and the Vernal Equinox by those in the South, the changes of the seasons can be witnessed by those living in appropriate locations.  Also, the Pumpkin Spice Latte is available at Starbucks!  (Okay, now I'm just being a corporate shill, ha ha.)
