Golden Gate Fields will be revamping the format for our wiener dog races and we're happy to announce the introduction of Wiener Wars! We heard all of your comments and suggestions and we have reformatted the wiener dog races - which we hope you'll see as an improvement to the event. Here are some of the things we have improved: 1) Every Saturday we’ll have wiener dog races (between Aug 16 – Sept 15). 2) You will have multiple chances to win.  If you don’t win on one day – you can re-enter to try again on another Saturday. 3) You may enter as many wiener dogs as you'd like.  No more limit to 2 dogs per owner. 4) More dogs allowed.  Our new limit is 144 Dachshunds (used to be 108). 5) New Championship Day. Held on Saturday, September 14. The races will remain the same, but the opportunity to win is greater.  Best of all, we can accept more dogs! So please, pick a day that works for you, sign up and tell a friend. Lastly, if you have any more suggestions or ideas on how to make our event better – let me know. See you at the races!
