How about somewhere just outside of "downtown"..  downtown makes it difficult to get to (especially during rush hour) and parking etc...    why don't we consider somewhere just outside the "downtown area" yet still central?

"Benders" on 15th (capital hill),,  has a dedicated room for small concerts, movies and events.

The "Ballmar" mall area has tons of restaurants and bars ..  easy access off 6th ave and plenty of parking.
