Chicago has a vibrant indie filmmaking scene. If you're part of it, we invite you to tap into the Filmmakers in Action network to find likeminded filmmakers and screenwriters developing their craft and building their portfolio/reels.

Whether you want to produce your own short (or feature) film or get experience on someone else's, you'll find plenty of opportunities in this MeetUp group.

MONTHLY MEETUPS
Pencil in the 2nd Tuesday of each month and make a point to join us for our monthly presentations and networking event. You'll have a chance to hear from an experience speaker on an advanced topic, such as webisodes, documentaries and shooting a feature film for under $15,000.

But you'll also be able to network with other filmmakers and screenwriters like you.

INTENSIVE WORKSHOPS
Our 1-day screenwriting bootcamp last fall was such a hit that we're bringing it back this year. Once again, we'll have screenwriting professionals and teachers take you through the elements of an effective and "marketable" screenplay.

But we're also adding new workshops to provide an intensive introduction for beginners and novices. Stay tuned for more information.
