Eloquent commentary about pluralization; thank you! I remember my first experiences: like you, I railed against <pun intended> this supposedly helpful convention. It was a significant point in my presentation to the group last year as well as on my blog. Like you, I considered turning off pluralization; in the end, however, I found myself getting more and more comfortable with using the convention and just learned to go with the flow… that has worked for me.

 

However, it’s clear that you touched a nerve… it’ll be interesting to see where this goes with the plugin that is being discussed.
