Dear Gale:
Over the last few months we have been meeting the holistic community and gaining feedback as to your needs and interests. We have our founding members and our initial leadership team - the Heart of HCCL.
Sarah Bingham of Fast Food Healing and Kristin Burton of MyLife Imaging and I originally met back in May to discuss. We had our soft launch in June to introduce the Chamber and our ideas to you. In our efforts to bring the holistic community together to get to know each other better, we held a luau in a private home, hosted by Chef Crane.
Although we became a chapter in an international organization, we wanted to fashion our own mission to serve the Lakeland community. Which we clarified and now share with you:

- To co-create an interconnected network of holistic professionals, practitioners and businesses.
- To provide better business-building solutions.
- To provide a community resource of holistic solutions.
OUR VISION:
An informed community that understands and embraces the holistic mind set consisting of holistic practitioners and businesses that are flourishing.
OUR MEMBERS:
We represent holistic professionals, practitioners and businesses who stand for excellence and integrity. All members are reference checked before confirmation of membership.
In August, we communicated these messages at the networking meeting and welcomed Alan Kahn of Alan Consulting Group to our team. Alan recently joined us from NY bringing years of business consulting expertise to the table, which he generously offered to share with our members.
We are now officially launching the Holistic Chamber of Commerce of Lakeland on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at Frescos Bakery & Bistro at 132 South Kentucky Avenue, Lakeland. The evening will include open networking as well as formal presentations on both holistic and business building subjects. You are welcome to purchase dinner if you would like. The event is free to first-time guests. Repeat guests $10. Members $5.
Although still in our infancy, members have begun using each others services as well as referring business. Already the community has been reaching out to us asking for referrals.
We hope to include you on our growing referral list.
