This week, the New Orleans Film Festival is in full effect! Our 25th edition is sure to pack a punch, with 450+ filmmakers in attendance, 237 films (spanning 54 countries) at 12 venues across the city, all encompassing 8 days of films, panels, workshops, and pure magic. We hope you join us for this cinephile's paradise. And spread the word, 'cause tickets are now available to the general public via our website, and our new box office! See below for more information. Also—don't forget to download our new #NOFF app.
Our trio of centerpiece films anchor the festival and represent some of the most well-regarded and exciting new films of the year. Having already screened—and won handsome trophies—at prestigious film festivals around the world, these films are sure to engage and impress local audiences at their Louisiana premiere screenings.
These nine films speak to the wide spectrum of movies being made in and about New Orleans. The Marquee Screenings lineup represent just some of the impressive filmmaking talents the city has to offer. It's no wonder MovieMaker Magazine named New Orleans the "top small city to live and work as a moviemaker."
During the fest, you can catch 3 FREE Moonlight Movies commemorating the year that started it all—1989. Click on the above images for the lineup!

Heathers is presented in partnership with the National Rice Mill Lofts; Say Anything... is sponsored by Broad Community Connections, Whole Foods Market, and The Broad Theater in partnership with NOLA Drive-In; Do the Right Thing is sponsored by Dillard University Film Department with support from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
Break out your fanny packs and high tops to celebrate NOFF’s birth year in style! Eat, drink, play video games, and let DJ Brice Nice take you back in time. Then take on the future with local band, Tank and the Bangas. 80s attire encouraged. Try to control your nostalgia. Sponsored by Howlin’ Wolf and Silver Screen Rentals, music supported by NOMAF. Admission: Free for All-Access Passholders | General Admission: $11
Discount Admission for NOFS Members, LFEA Members, and 80’s Costumes: $9
Complimentary drinks for All-Access Passholders | One drink ticket per paid admission
We're still in search of volunteers! It's a fantastic way to make connections, get involved with the Louisiana film community, and share your love of film. Duties can include taking tickets, ushering patrons to their seats, selling merchandise / tickets, helping with crowd control, keeping the festival venues looking beautiful, and just helping out in whatever way possible! Click here to sign up via VolunteerSpot.
In celebration of our 25th Anniversary, the New Orleans Film Society is eager to announce a new donor level, the Quarter Century Club. We hope you will consider becoming an inaugural member of our Quarter Century Club, a new initiative aimed at celebrating our rich history and launching us into an exciting future. As a supporter at this level, you will lay the foundation for a series of important new projects supporting emerging filmmakers, including a mentorship program for Black directors from Louisiana, education programs for New Orleans public school students, and an initiative to offer grants to local filmmakers.

This new donor circle will help us start a new chapter—one that ensures the film industry continues to generate significant economic impact for the people of New Orleans and Louisiana. We hope you will join us in our work to bring more diverse voices to the screen and to educate young people about the job opportunities within the film industry. For more information, click here.
