Casey MacGill @ the 9:20. The 9:20 (Russian Center) is a magnificent ballroom 7,500(ish) sq ft wooden dance floor. Third level 3/4 wrap loft (balcony). Regal & classic, built in early 1930's (ish), brilliantly restored in 2008(?)ish. Great feel, great dance floor. High ceilings, chandeliers, real class!!

Whether you're there to dance, listen or watch- it's all good! Casey is a world class act. No one alive can scat quite like Casey. Casey MacGill SWINGS. He's smooth, jazzy, bluesy & plays piano, ukulele & cornet. He's accompanied by an upright bass & light percussion.

Hey, don't take MY word for it. Listen yourself to Jump. Now granted, OKAY "old Stuff" ya say, back in the days of The Spirits of Rhythm w/ Miss Lee Lee (What a scatting duo). Want new stuff... how about Casey MacGill's Blue Four Trio.
Now it is true that Casey is @ The Verde Club that Friday, & he'll play from 12md- 2am.

Now although I am organizing this event @ the 9:20 (Russian Center) 2460 Sutter in The City, I have spoken w/ Mike of the DaSilva Ukulele Co (See above), & on Friday, 3/26 @ 8PM Casey & the B4T will do 2x 45min(ish) sets. Mike "has a piano, 80 seats, excellent sound system, 2400 sq feet & no one will be more than 20 feet from the band. Concrete floor" (probably no dancing :( ). Price $20 . Mike (the owner) gave me permission to quote him & post this event. I'm definitely checking this out.
Although this is a dance site/group, to sit & watch, listen & "be" totally in the presence of Casey is wonderfully delicious, as they ARE a class act. Casey MacGill, based in Seattle, WA doesn't do a whole lot of traveling nowadays, so it is wonderful to "plug" their visit.
