Have you RSVPed, Registered and RCVD your Login INFO for January's WordPress Classes?

The 396?will be running three WordPress courses in January. Are you planning on coming? Then you need to RSVP, Register, and get your LOGIN info from us.?The same class will be taught each week at three different times. So this should provide a greater opportunity for folks to attend. To get the most out of this short course, it is best to attend all four classes in the series.

I am asking everyone that will be taking the course to please RSVP now for all the classes you plan to attend.?Please do not wait until the last minute. You will be unable to RSVP on a week by week basis because RSVPs will be closing on January 5th at 10pm for the Thursday classes and January 8th at 10pm for the Sunday classes. After that I will not be accepting any more RSVPs or requests to attend. If you miss this round, you'll have to wait until I run the series again.

So please get your RSVPs out of the way as soon as you receive this email. For each of the classes, please RSVP for only one of the days (Thursday at 10am, Sunday at 10am or Sunday at 3pm). But please make sure you RSVP for each of the four classes. The class titles, dates, times and RSVP links are:

Class 1: WordPress for Contributors, Authors and Editors

Sunday January 9th from 10am until Noon - RSVP Here?or

Registering and Student Logins

Alright, now that you have your RSVPs out of the way you need to REGISTER at The 396. We'll be using this as our resource for Forums, Wiki, Blogging, Sharing Files, Sharing Links and lots of other Goodies once we get everything rolling. A lot of information is going to be distributed there and it's going to eventually become your main resource as students. So get registered now so I don't have to reprimand you on the first day of class. :D

Registered? Good. Now you need to send me an email. My email address is [address removed]. In the subject line put:

STUDENT LOGIN REQUEST: preferred_username.

Once I get this I will set you up a SHELL/FTP?account, MySQL account, an SVN account, and a WordPress Multisite install. You will be using all of these in class, hands on. And the daring (and those that do their homework) will be using them outside of class time. Your preferred_username will unfortunately NOT be your preferred_username. It will be prefaced with zzz. Sorry but it helps me keep everything organized for this run of the classes.

No do you have that out of the way? Alright good. You are set then to join us on either Thursday January 6th at 10am or Sunday January 9th at 10am or 3pm.?

Wait! What about Books, Study Materials...Pagan Literature???

For this 101 series you don't need any books.

For those that must have one I recommend O'Reilly's Head First WordPress which can be had at Amazon?or O'Reilly. The Amazon version is cheaper. If you have the printed version (or get it from Amazon) the EBOOK version from O'Reilly is only 5 bucks. On the other hand if you can do with the Ebook version only, you can get it from O'Reilly for 15 bucks. That's what I did.

As far as Pagan Literature, if you really MUST have something how about A Book of Pagan Prayers by Ceisiwr Serith. You can buy yourself a copy, read it, then come to class and point and laugh at me saying "Buahahahaha Aoirthoir actually says some of those silly ridicooluss prayers and his name is even funnier than Ceisiwr's!" :D

Hope that helps. If anyone has any questions about the classes please feel free to call me at[masked].

Kind Regards,
Aoirthoir An Broc.
