Nonprofit Seeking Wordpress Guru for Volunteer Opportunity

From: Brigid M.
Sent on: Thursday, 2 October 2014, 10:24 am
Hello All,

My name is Brigid, and I am the program director at a very small nonprofit organization (just 4 paid staff members) called the International Book Bank (IBB) located in Hampden. We're a registered 501(c)3 that has been operating in Charm City for 24 years. Each year, we donate over 1.5 million brand new books and educational materials to schools, libraries and charities in developing countries all over the world. We are in dire need of some basic Wordpress support!

IBB currently has a website built on WordPress, but has not received any technical maintenance for a couple of years. We are looking for an experienced WordPress developer who can volunteer to help us...

  • bring our site up to date;

  • add new features, such as responsiveness, social interaction, multiple blogs, and automatic backups;

  • make recommendations for future feature enhancements;

  • make recommendations regarding visual design, themes, designers;

  • turn the site over to IBB staff who will continue to do content updates;

  • act as a continuing (occasional) adviser to IBB on website matters.

You can see our site at internationalbookbank.org. It will be helpful if you can point us to web sites you have developed.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions, and thank you in advance!!
