Announcing a new Meetup for Florida Trail - Panhandle Chapter!

What: East Nokuse Plantation Hike

When: Saturday, June 12,[masked]:00 AM

Where:
Winn Dixie Parking Lot
HWY 77
Lynn Haven, FL 32444

June 12 (Saturday): East Nokuse Plantation Hike. Meet at Winn Dixie parking lot in Lynn Haven at 7 am. We?ll drive up Hwy 77, west on Hwy 20, then up Hwy 81 to the Florida Trail Seven Runs Trailhead on the east end of the Nokuse Plantation (arriving there about 9 am). This is Choctawhatchee Chapter territory (Bob Deckert, SL). We will hike in about 2.7 miles, hike back out (for a total of about 5.5 miles), then eat lunch at Bruce Caf? on the way home. The hiking area is beautiful (some similar to Econfina Prairie), flat, and much is open terrain (without shade), and the weather could be warm. This is probably the end of our hiking season. About 2.7 miles in there?s a place to stage a car, for those who might need it. Bring camera, snacks, water, bug spray, sunscreen, hat, and water shoes if desired.
