Also, Barbara – I forgot to mention.  We are a non-profit, so any volunteers who are associated with a non-profit can “earn” a donation for that non-profit organization.  We would need proof of their 501(c)(3) status from the IRS in order to make a contribution…  Might be an incentive to get a group together.

Darren also said Rutabaga would be willing to donate a couple of canoes for this day (but no more than 2), so we’d be looking for volunteers who are willing to use their own canoe/kayak and gear.  The canoes donated by Rutabaga would have to be picked up by the volunteer and brought back later than day.
