The Long Beach Torch Run on June 13, still needs Photographers and Assistants
What:
Imagine the thrill of an Olympic-style relay race run in front of over 2,000 spectators who cheer your progress. Now imagine being one of over 200 children with cancer or a rare blood disease, and it is you who carries the torch as you run, walk or wheel your way along the 1/8 mile course surrounded by your loved ones and sponsors. Join these inspirational children who celebrate another year won in the fight against serious illness. It will be a day you remember for a lifetime.
When:
Saturday, June 13th, 2009
Where:
Rainbow Harbor Esplanade on Shoreline Drive next to the Aquarium of the Pacific, in Long Beach. [see map]
Why:
You can make a difference in the life of a child. Every dollar of your sponsorship benefits the Jonathan Jaques Children's Cancer Center which provides comprehensive treatment and research for children and their families who are fighting cancer or a serious blood disorder.
