I am excited to be giving the talk this evening for the SC WordPress Meetup group, at 5:30 at NextSpace (101 Cooper St, downtown).

That's in 2.5 hours.

As an example project, I chose the Design?Renaissance?Conference, a project spearheaded by Awake Media, to highlight sustainable design ideas.

Lakshmi Narayan of Awake Media provided me with a Photoshop file, and I created a complete WordPress theme based on this, with good HTML/CSS, and a bunch of features.

I will demonstrate the project, and talk about the process and what was involved to transform the design into a WordPress site.?

I will provide resources and information (and some code), and talk about how I solved all the various design issues. I think this demonstrates a sort of "best practices process" for developing a WordPress site from a design.
