WordPress West: Upgrades & More!

From: Jonathan K.

Hey everyone!

Sneak Preview: This email covers a handful of important topics, including:

  • Our New Sponsor and Meetup Location: VenturePad
  • New Formats for the WordPress Wednesdays Meetups
  • Looking for New Locations for a Santa Rosa / Petaluma Meetup

If you haven't heard the news, WordPress West has a new Sponsor and Venue!

We're excited to welcome VenturePad as our newest official sponsor and invite all of our members to come check out the new space! It's a very professional atmosphere and it's situated right in the heart of Downtown San Rafael -- meaning there's tons of great local businesses, cafes and restaurants nearby to check out before and after the meetups!

As you probably already know, our most consistently scheduled meetup events are our "WordPress Wednesdays" meetups, where local WordPress Professionals are on-site at the meetup to assist you with no-cost WordPress Consulting, Training & Design help (up-to an hour) in the form of a friendly, group learning styled Q & A session.

We know that many of our regularly attending members will find it more challenging to attend our WordPress Wednesdays meetups in San Rafael, so we're also asking all of you for your help in locating an auxilarry space to host a WordPress Wednesdays meetup in the Santa Rosa and/or Petaluma areas as well.

So if you have a conference space we can utilize, or maybe know of a possible business sponsor, or venue in Santa Rosa or Petaluma where we can host up to 15 people, for up to two hours each Wednesday, please let us know right away and we'll be sure to follow up.

And since we have such a growing diversity of WordPress users in our group, we've also decided to segment the WordPress Wednesdays meetup formats by user experience level in order to best provide the most relevant content for members during the meetups.

Check out the new WordPress Wednesdays formats:

> 1st Wednesday of the Month: Beginners & WordPress.com Users

> 2nd Wednesday of the Month: Intermediate WordPress Users

> 3rd Wednesday of the Month: Advanced & Professional Users

> 4th Wednesday of the Month: All Skill Level Users

> 5th Wednesday of the Month: All Skill Level Users

Don't forget to RSVP for this week's WordPress Wednesdays Meetup!

Note: If you're planning on working on an existing WordPress Website during a meetup, be sure to bring your valid login credentials to be able to access your site!

Feel free to message me or another co-organizer here on Meetup.com if you have any questions or comments, we'd love to hear back from you!

See you at the Meetups!

- Jonathan

Co-Organizer, WordPress West
