Re: [webdesign-396] HTML5 Class on Thursday

Marc was just asking me the same thing. So to clarify, Pretty much anyone that has been to my classes and knows the jist, does not *have* to attend orientation.

However, if you come to the class without going to orientation, I'm not going to take class time to explain things to you. At class time we are just going to jump in. Then I can give a brief explanation after class about what we are doing. This is only fair to other students.

Kind Regards,
Aoirthoir

This is a new series and a new format.

Basically I will be running course of four weeks, one day per week. The Thursday classes are going to focus on hand coding for the first 6 weeks (a couple of extra bonus weeks since we are starting mid December rather than first week in January.). The Sunday classes are going to concentrate on getting it done with other means. Then implementing code in those means (read wordpress).

A busy job is no excuse for missing the wonderful presence that we call Aoirthoir.

Are you coming? If you have not already been to any of our classes, you need to come to Orientation Wednesday evening at 7pm. Also, if you are coming on Thursday you need to bring the following:

1. Your Laptop.

2. Some prepared text for conversion to HTML5.
This can be letters, poetry, blog posts you've written. It doesn't
matter what it is. (Respect copyrights please).

3. USB flash drive to keep and store your work on.

When you walk out the door on Thursday after the class, you will have in hand a base HTML5 to serve as a future template for your html5 coding.

Kind Regards,
AOirthoir
