Re: [San-Fernando-Valley-Tea-Party-Patriots] Counterfeit Meeting Scheduled

Dear Greg,
I don't mind people organizing a tea party group. I do mind them taking our established name--especially since we're doing so much to protect it legally.
Best,
Karen

Hi Karen,

Malice is highly unlikely. Maybe whoever posted the second meeting saw how crowded the regular meeting usually is and wanted to start another group. Personally I don't think there can be too many groups, although Sunday at 7 is dinnertime, and they might not have the room free of regular patrons.

If you tell me who it is, I'll be happy to talk with them to find out what's up. You got me curious now... ;  )

Take Care,

Greg

Dear Tea Pots:

Someone, I hope without malice, accessed the scheduling for group events and issued a meeting at Coco's at 7 p.m. on Sunday. I have sent the new "member" a request to stop. You know that we meet on the 2nd Saturday of each month (except April and December).

We have our schedule because it accommodates the most people, plus I work evenings and most Saturday mornings. We do it not to exclude participation, especially where there are so many other tea party groups with various meeting days--including the Los Angeles/Santa Monica tea party that meets on Sunday mornings.

I thank Tom for notifying me of the meetup.com mailing. If this happens, again, I will remove the person from our mailing list.

Blessings in Liberty!
