I would support an app like that....overall though I would support an app that just gives objective crime stats based on the gps area I am currently located at. This app is a great idea... its the execution that has black folks and other "minorities" weary. It's the idea that subjective based observations can be used to label an area. 

I could be walking down a street minding my own business deep in thought and cross paths with someone and not pay them any attention...for me that could be a non-event while the person whose path I crossed could have been on edge thinking I could be up to no good... they could write a "sketch report" about it and now a undeserving label is attached to an location.

But ironically lol as someone put it, this may help keep gentrification at bay in some areas.
