i don't appreciate having messages such as this one appear in my email.  for everyone's information, you are not supposed to respond to a "thread" from the organizer with personal messages.  if you have something to say in response to a message from the organizer, you go back into the meetup site, and email him personally.  this prevents all members from getting bombarded with too many emails.  as far as the idea that if you belong to a meetup group, you should want all these emails, that is not true either.  everyone has a preference of who they want to communicate with, and it would be considerate to keep your personal conversations amongst the people involved.  also keep in mind that offensive emails can be reported, and the offender's membership revoked, which is what i will do if i ever receive an email like this one again, even if it wasn't addressed specifically to me.  i actually don't care about getting alot of emails, but i understand those who do.  what i do mind is having to read the ignorant diatribes of someone i don't even know.
