Thanks all for writing on the dental thread. 

Snoopy had work done before we got him from SCDR/NCDR, but I did not receive any detail or paperwork.  

I've been brushing with enzymatic toothpaste, and will try greenies.  My previous dog liked Bright Stars from PetExpress. 

Chlorhexedrine gel/ oral is recommended at several sites too.

BTW, our vet is Elizabeth Dowd at Tassajara Vet Clinic and her estimate for the teeth cleaning is in the neighborhood of $325. And ~$60 per extraction. Haven't scheduled anything. I'm going to check out Dr. Katrina Hall-Essoe. Thank you to Shanon Spearing for the recommendation!

Buster is a tweenie. He is 8 years old gets along with everyone including cats. He is one happy dog! His owner lost their home and had to find new homes for all her pets. She surrendered him to SCDR to try to get a new home.

When we rescued adopted Molly she was 10 years and had terrible plaque and tarter. She had half dozen teeth extracted.
If you are ever in LA there is a vet low cost vet that does dentals under anesthesia for $125 and that includes extractions. I just took Fiona for her annual exam and vaccines. It was a total of $50 back home in the Bay Area it would've been over $160
I live in San Ramon.

Hi Doxie Group

We are in LA visiting my parents and having our last summer vacation. We picked up our new foster dog Buster on the way down to LA on Friday. He is from Fresno and a sweet dog! He will be up for adoption through SCDR/NCDR.
My moms Foster Petra is a sweet female blk/tan dog tweenie. She is available through SCDR/NCDR.  She is doing well after she had a growth removed and also got her dental done and two teeth taken out. The rescue does a great job taking care of these dogs. Please consider donating!
 
We went to the LA Doxie meetup my mom is member of last Sunday at Huntington beach. Great group!
