New Meetup: November Songwriters Workshop (Melbourne)

Announcing a new Meetup for Melbourne Songwriters Workshop!

What: November Songwriters Workshop (Melbourne)

When: November 16,[masked]:00 PM

Where: Click the link below to find out!

Meetup Description: This will be a different type of meeting to what we used to have in the past. This time we will look at one song from each writer, song that the writer believes needs improvement. We will break down the song and make analysis of different part of it to see how it can work better, the potential of the song for today's market, what is lacking to make it powerful and appealing, and an idea of the different genres that the song could cover.

This will take place in front of other writers who will all learn from the critiques on all songs presented during the workshop, beside their own.

We will make use of Microsoft Powerpoint and/or Microsoft Onenote to analyse lyrics, projected overhead.

We will start at 1pm and finish at 5 pm or 5.30 pm and writers should arrive on time. Those who arrive late will have their song looked at after the others.

We will only look at songs that the writer believes need improvement. If the song has already been fully produced in studio, we will assess the song only if the songwriter is not happy with the lyrics and/or melody and is happy to make changes to the song and return to the studio.
