AUGM is back for our bi-monthly meet up, and we're really excited to welcome Zoe Rinkel as our special guest presenter!
Zoe is a singer/songwriter with a background in music performance across a wide variety of experiences and genres. She currently leads the education team at Arts Centre Melbourne, designing learning events that champion the right to creative expression for all. Zoe looks after activity in The Channel, home of the Ableton User Group, producing events and experiences that bring established and emerging artists together to collaborate, network and learn.
Zoe will talk through the commissioning and production process of writing a collection of 90s inspired songs for the play Girl Band by Katy Warner, which is being presented in early 2023. She will also share some of her other projects and discuss how she uses Ableton Live as a learning tool.
She will also talk through some of her major projects as a creative producer at Arts Centre Melbourne, which include Ableton learning programs.
Also on the night will be an opportunity for community members to showcase and get feedback on their own music! If you'd like your music played, make sure to join us on Discord and keep an eye out for details.
Entry is free, and we welcome all attendees no matter what level of experience you have with Ableton Live. The user group is a chance to meet with a diverse range of producers, share knowledge, get feedback, meet and hang out with other like-minded enthusiasts.
Ableton User Group Melbourne (AUGM) is a collective of producers and musicians of all skill levels, drawn together by their interest in using music production software Ableton Live.
Hosted bi-monthly in The Channel and supported by Arts Centre Melbourne, our community get-togethers are a space for producers, musicians and likeminded creatives to connect.
Come and learn from some of the best and brightest electronic producers and performers as they present their works-in-progress and share the tricks, tips and techniques that take their music to the next level.
If you’re a Live beginner or a seasoned electronic music veteran, there’s always something new to learn at these meet-up sessions.
We're extremely grateful to have a partnership with Arts Centre Melbourne's "The Channel", who allow us to use their amazing space, which is part of the Hamer Hall complex on the Yarra River, just a couple of minutes walk from Flinders Street Station in the CBD.
AUGM is a user and a volunteer run community program and not officially administered by Ableton.
