Re: [php-49] I need new keyboard

"Suck" is a matter of opinion. Ian and Gus tried to help you buy suggesting keyboards they like, but you told them you think can't stand them and they're horrible.

I like mechanical keyboards, and would probably get a DAS Keyboard S or a WASD Keyboard configured for the Mac. (There are customers who have installed custom WASD key cap sets on DAS keyboards for great benefit.)

But you might think those choices suck, too -- who knows what you want?

I can't stand the Microsoft ego-keyboard.  I actually type far slower on it, and it's horrible for crossing over as a gaming keyboard (for those of us that program and game).

See that's kind of objective...

I use a mac with a mac kb, microsoft bluetoof mouse and three dell monitors, whatever works, but the kb is killing me.

+1. I've been using a Microsoft Natural keyboard for ~6 years and am pretty happy with it. It's split so you're not bending your wrists 40+ hours a week, and has a large rest pad built into the front.

My only complaint is the number pad is pretty useless IMO and makes it too long, so you can't bring the mouse as close as you want.

[insert mandatory "only good thing MS every made" snark here.]

Just get the fancy ergonomic one. Your wrists will thank you.

Because not every store has every options so I'd like recommendations so I can pick a few models to go look at. I esp want to know if certain ones suck.

This is like asking a bunch of strangers what kind of underwear you should buy. We don't know your preferences, needs, or requirements, and for something so personal those are really the driving factors in your decision. Is there some reason you can't decide yourself? Only you know your own preferences, after all.

whatcha got for me? I'm on a Mac and use one of those tiny little silver ones but it's driving me nuts.... suggestions on simple, clean keyboard for programming?
