Mark and Bob,

Thanks for your replies. I agree that the weekend of October 9th will  
be a terrific time to look for it, new moon and all.

Until then ... I've seen a couple of maps of its path; one shows  
Hartley 2 occulting (if that's the right word) Lambda Cassiopeiae  
before Wednesday, September 29, and another shows the event taking  
place after that date.

Wonder if we're just playing with time zones here. Don't you think it  
can be predicted to the minute?
