Our Biggest Event Yet? (also a job listing)

Hello everyone,

Wow.  I knew our group was fun, and was growing in popularity, but even I am surprised by the interest in tomorrow's event.  We are expecting between [masked] people!  This would qualify as our biggest event ever!  So RSVP while you can and show up early to enjoy the beer (limited supply) while it lasts! I invited 3 meetup groups, and about 50 students from General Assembly.  This event will be a lot of fun with many new faces. So don't miss out!!

There will be beer, music, game demos, and a chance to meet cool new people. Clutch will also be giving stuff away to those who fill out surveys at the event. So come on by and bring your friends! I also want to invite all indie game developers to demo their games.  Just send me a message, and we can confirm a spot for you.  There will be a couple developers there already, but I wanted to invite others to bring there games no matter what stage of development.  You could get some great feedback.  I also just scheduled the next Game Developer Symposium for 3/31/16! Sheppard Mullin is hosting us again.  Special speakers will be announced soon.  Snacks and beverages will be provided. So RSVP for that as well.

Also, General Assembly is a great place to learn new skills, and they have a wide variety of offerings to accommodate those with hectic schedules.  A message from them: "Hey CDK!  We're so excited to host you on campus in just over a week. We also have a ton of other upcoming events coming up on campus, ranging from a panel discussing diversity in tech to a Women in Tech Breakfast. General Assembly has a few part-time courses starting soon, including a 10-week digital marketing course.  Be sure to check them out : https://generalassemb...

We also want to thank cove, who hosted our last meetup, and here is a message from them: There are two things that we want to highlight for CDK members.

1. cove is hiring a Junior Graphic Designer! We’re seeking a talented designer to help build digital and print marketing across DC and Boston. This individual will be responsible for designing emails, digital advertisements, print collateral, on-location signage and decals, and helping with social media campaigns. Apply here: https://cove.workable.com/jobs/208892

2. cove is bringing you a free specialty coffee tasting event with Sandra Wolter of Sweet Science Coffee. Sandra will be using four different brewing methods to bring out the taste in beans from Papua New Guinea, Ecuador and Rwanda.

Specialty coffee has been in Sandra's family for four generations and she's going to show us how it's done. Join us for a tasty event and great conversation! Check it out here: https://cove.is/events/YO5cO0XJG7

And last but not least, I want to introduce you to Clutch, a company based in DC ( https://clutch.co/abo... ) that collects and posts reviews about web development firms and other tech companies; to help entrepreneurs and other firms make informative decisions for their technology solutions. Here is a message from them:

Our biggest goal would be to collect reviews.
We want to collect reviews across multiple segments:
- Marketing Softwarehttps://clutch.co/marketing - Cloud Softwarehttps://clutch.co/cloud/storage - App Development Softwarehttps://clutch.co/app-development

Are any of these segments areas you think CDK'ers would be able to offer reviews for?

So thanks to all our sponsors, past and present.  Check out their offers and services, and don't forget to RSVP for March 4th and the 31st!

Thanks,

James JC
