Joshua Tree in Allston could be an alternative

Just so you know, the Sports Depot in Allston doesn't exist anymore (it's being renovated to be something else).

Greetings all!

Hope everyone is having a great summer. With the Cubs in disarray and the Sox bullpen not doing much better, it's time to think about football! :-)

I don't claim to speak for all the organizers, but with that said, here's my take:

There's no one place that will satisfy everyone. We'll probably schedule an "official" meetup for the games that aren't nationally televised - that is, games that you need DirecTV for - but I think it will also be good for people to post messages to the group saying where you'll be watching the game. Some of you have already been doing that. If we can get a sizable group of fans in one or two venues, then great!

There are tons of places to watch the game, here are a just a few (I'm only mentioning the ones I've actually been to):

Courtside Restaurant and Pub (Cambridge St, East Cambridge) - This is where most of the official meetups were last season.

Sports Depot (Harvard St, Allston)

Bostonville Grille (Route 1, Lynnfield, right off 95/128) - booths with individual TVs

Orleans Restaurant/Bar (Davis Square, Somerville)

Game On (Kenmore Square, Fenway Park)

Champions (Copley Square, Boston)

Powderhouse Pub and Grille (near Powderhouse Square, Somerville)

The Fours (North Station, Boston) - one of several sports bars in that area

There have been meetups in at least two other venues that I remember being at, but can't remember the names or streets. And I'm sure you all know of other places not listed above.

Our team has two weeks to get its act together! Looking forward to watching the games with some of you.

Bear down!
-Mike
