Norwood is a good option for Boston.  There is a train a few blocks away, or you can rent a car right there.  One SERIOUS limitation….  Norwood closes at night (don’t remember what time… but its fairly early).  The only way to depart at night is if you pay hundreds of dollars in overtime to keep an employee late.

 

You should come to the meeting tonight & you will get plenty of feedback.

I am still new at this.  I don't have an Airport Facilities Directory.  Is that something I can download?  Regardless, my sectional shows Norwood which is just over 10 miles to the SW.  I guess I could fly there then take a cab or a trail.  Any advice?

Joe,
Does anyone in the club qualify as a flight taxi service?  I still haven't
completed my license, so flying myself around is not currently an option.
If someone in the group had a flight service, I might be able to finagle a
way to have them fly me up to Boston for a 1 day meeting.  In fact, my
meeting is only 1 hr in length. If they were also a CFI, that would just add
icing to the cake.

This is mainly why I want to get my license.  I have so many of these trips,
it would be advantageous to fly myself, but I digress ;-)

Again, I don't know if I can work out the billing/costs, but it would be a
worthwhile conversation. Let me know your thoughts.
